Read with the Blue Devils

Recently, Mrs. Harrison, Mr. Nix and Mrs. Murray's classes had the unique opportunity to have special guests read to them.    Several Duke Varsity athletes read a couple of their favorite books as part of the Duke Blue Devils- Read with the Blue Devils reading incentive program.  This program encourages students to read each night by completing a simple reading log.   Students and classes are rewarded with Read with the Blue Devils items and special guest readers.

Mission Statement

Club Boulevard Humanities Magnet School is committed to a dynamic educational environment in which diversity and uniqueness are valued. Our school community fosters the development of dignity, self-esteem and mutual respect. Challenging and creative academic opportunities are provided through immersion in the humanities, authentic literature and the arts.

What Makes Us Special

At Club Boulevard Humanities Magnet School, we integrate authentic literature and the arts into North Carolina's Standard Course of Study for each grade level. Our resource teachers help us to realize our humanities theme by relating art, dance, music, physical education, Spanish, and technology lessons to topics in the regular classroom. The media center serves as an extension of the classroom for reading and research. In addition, we offer all students a changing set of electives, and our PTA sponsors a variety of after-school classes each fall and spring. Read more about any of these topics by following the links below.
